The fast-paced comedy adventure sees the hotshot race car Lightning McQueen embarking on a cross-country trip to California to compete against two seasoned pros in the big Piston Cup racing championship. However, the story takes an unexpected turn when McQueen gets lost in the forgotten Route 66 town of Radiator Springs. He soon gets to know the town's characters - including Sally (the 2002 flashy Porsche) and Doc Hudson (the 1951 Hudson Hornet with a mysterious past)
– and they gradually help him to realise that there is more to life than trophies, fame and sponsorship.
